A Passport to Travel the World Without Leaving Georgia

The Georgia Children’s Museum provides children with the opportunity to see the nation and the world. By simply entering the doors of the museum, broad horizons are opened and flights of fancy can take place. The Georgia Children’s Museum is the place for learning and hands-on experiences that will educate children in an enjoyable manner.

When children journey to the first floor, it is geared for the youngest from ages 2 to 5. They can go back to the days of the dinosaurs, an absolute hit for this age group, or visit Native Americans the way they originally lived as guardians of the land. It will be like Lego Land too with ample blocks for building. The second floor includes classrooms for school groups that visit the museum to incorporate their visit with areas of study. It also includes traveling exhibits that open up vistas beyond Georgia such as the Amazing Castle exhibit that makes the medieval period come to life. The third floor will feature Passages through Time upon completion, focusing on the Creek Indians in Georgia and their way of life dating back to ancient times. The fourth floor, still in progress, features KidsTowne, where children will become an active part of every aspect of a town and be able to role play different members of the community.

The Geogia Children’s Museum is the ideal place for exploration whether it is a family visit, a spontaneous drop by, or for a planned children’s party. There’s a theater for young children and a gift shop. This museum will keep the kids talking and they won’t want to leave. Once you take them for a visit, plan on returning again and again. The museum may even become part of your family vacation. Friends and relatives will enjoy it with you.
